I decided to start up a blog because I see a lot of people writing them and find them really inspirational...it would be nice to reach out to at least one other person too!
My blog page will focus mainly on fashion and what makes me tick.
I am a student at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, so many of my projects involve finding material that stimulates me, therefore I thought it would be a nice idea to share that material on the internet too..
First I will begin with some of my favourite websites, so you can get an idea of who I am.
Jak&Jil is a superb site, with lots of images promoting current styles and focuses a lot attire of middle-class people or photoshoots.
Kingdom Of Style is my current homepage - there are two bloggers who update daily with images of themselves modeling their clothes, or their surroundings or simply something that motivates and inspires them. They are in fact employees of Fashion 156, an online fashion bible.
Lookbook is a more exclusive site, slightly like The Sartoralist yet you can upload your own images. They also have excellent forums where a large variety of topics are discussed...the only downside is you need to have an invite to join. As I am a member, I can send out invites so if this is a problem don't hesitate to ask!
Lastly We(L)It is a great place to find images of literally anything artistic! You can add your own bookmark to your Internet Explorer/Safari and click on it if you find an image you find inspirational, and it automatically adds it to 'your heart'! A bit similar to FFFFound yet you don't have to receive an invite (unfortunately I am not a member of this site, although I am dying to be!)
Anyway, I better be off to sleep now as I have four dress designs to come up with tomorrow!
